Young writers’ Spine Chillers competition

Once again learners at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan have been successful in having their work published.

Learners from years 8, 9 and 11 created mini sagas for the Young Writers’ Spine Chillers competition. Successful entries included, ‘The Shadow from the Past’ by Jaden Durrant (Year 8), ‘She’s always watching’ by Annabel Steward (Year 9) and ‘Alone’ by Patrick Davies. Their creative skills were challenged, as each story was not allowed to exceed 100 words.

More and more learners are taking part in these creative writing activities and their confidence is growing as they Dare to Achieve.
