New Headteacher of Emrys Welcomed

Clwyd West AM Darren Millar with new Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan headteacher, Lee Cummins

and Chair of Governors, Linda Taverner

Former Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan pupil Darren Millar AM has welcomed the appointment of a new headteacher at his old school.

Lee Cummins has taken on the lead role at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan after former headteacher Nayland Southern left last year.

Darren said, “Emrys ap Iwan is a great community school that has achieved a lot over the years. Having met Mr Cummins I am confident that he will do a sterling job in taking the school forward and leading the excellent team of staff there.

“Change can sometimes be difficult, but with Mr Cummins’ wealth of experience I am sure the transition will be a smooth one and the school will continue to flourish. I welcome Mr Cummins to Abergele and wish him all the very best in his new position.”
