KiVa Antibullying program

At Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan we have a new program called KiVa, which forms a big part of the school's pastoral programme.

KiVa is an antibullying program that has been developed in the University of Turku, Finland. It is an evidence-based program which means that the effectiveness of KiVa has been proven scientifically. KiVa offers a wide range of concrete tools and materials for schools to tackle bullying.

The Parents’ Guide is part of the KiVa antibullying program, a research-based tool to prevent and reduce bullying problems.

The Guide offers information about bullying; what is known from current research and what can be done at home and at school. Cooperation between home and school is important in addressing bullying.
